In 1991, owner and founder of Nici’s Cakery Nicole (Nici), started her own catering business  known as ‘Nicidees Catering’.  Fast forward a few years to 2000- she needed a cake for her daughter’s 1st birthday and decided to combine her creative and baking skills to make one herself. She had stopped catering but decided to go forward with baking and thus, a new business was born and for many years it thrived in providing cakes, cupcakes and food platters for all occasions. 

By putting so much energy into this small business,  she was able to really focus her time on creating the best and tastiest products for her customers whilst also being a full time mom to 3 children. 

‘Nicidees’ then became ‘Nici’s Cupcakes’, a name which many people became accustomed to (so much so that it landed her with the nickname ‘Cupcake’). Nici’s Cupcakes also gave Nicole the opportunity to feature in many markets and a Christmas Food Show at the Dome for both exposure and experience, which was right up her street since she thoroughly enjoys conversing with her clients.

In 2019 it became apparent that Nici’s Cupcakes needed some re-branding to allow the business room to grow and so, without changing anything about the business itself or what we stand for, and after many hours deliberating potential names, ‘Nici’s Cakery’ became official. 

With over 35 years of experience in the food industry and a love for what she does, it’s no wonder that Nicole’s business has grown over the years to finally become what it is today!

Nicole cares deeply about bringing a smile to her client’s faces and providing them with high quality bakes. She does all the baking and decorating herself, along with the help of her two daughters.
